My Approach:

I was initially trained in more traditional talk therapies and draw from different modalities depending on your needs. Nowadays, my therapeutic methodology draws heavily from both the Person-Centred approach and Somatic Psychotherapy, which integrates mindfulness practices with body-centered techniques.

By grounding in mindfulness and attuning to the body, we access deeper layers of the self that may not be easily reached through intellectual discussion alone. The body holds memories and insights that the mind may overlook. Even if we cannot consciously recall early experiences, they continue to shape our adult lives profoundly, influencing our self-perception, relationships, and worldview.

At times, despite our intellectual grasp of obstacles, we find ourselves feeling stuck. Through turning inward and embracing the present moment, we can delve into and transform deeply ingrained beliefs and patterns held within the body. This process opens the door to profound change, offering new perspectives and possibilities. By fostering a deeper connection with ourselves, we empower ourselves to respond to life in ways that align more closely with our authentic desires and aspirations.

I am also inspired by attachment theory and grateful for my understanding of the nervous system.
